The first edition of the international conference on defence logistics A.L.I.C.E. 2009 took place on October 1st and 2nd in Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands. More than 100 participants from 11 different nationalities searched for an answer to the question: what is the role of defence logistics by the year 2020 and what should hapen to achieve this?

The success will be continued in 2010
A.L.I.C.E. 2009 was very successfull in the following ways:
- new vieuws and current information in defence logistics
- ample networking opportunities were optimal exploited
- tangible solutions were offered

Because of the successfull platform a date for the next edition has straightaway been scheduled. On October 5th and 6th 2010 defence, research and industry will further discuss the right strategy for defence logistics.
